Officially Organized for 2019-2021!
Our Organizing Meeting at the South Burlington Public Library was a success. Our committee welcomed five new members to our committee.
Our slate of officers serving for the next two years:
Chris Shaw, returning as Chair
Katie Langrock, returning as Vice Chair
Johnna Ferguson, returning as Secretary
Jonathan Ferguson, returning as Treasurer
and welcome to Chris Trombley, our new Asst. Treasurer!
Reorganization Meeting, You Make The Party
Every two years we elect officers and re-establish the city committee of the Democratic Party in South Burlington as required by VT law. Delegates to the Chittenden County party are chosen, and from them delegates to the state Democratic party. Come be a voice in your party in all matters local and statewide, and help us defeat Trump in 2020.

A Conversation about the State of Our Democracy
Come join Rick Hubbard in "A Conversation About the State of Our Democracy" on Wednesday, January 30th and Monday, February 4th from 6pm-8pm at the South Burlington Community Library at the University Mall.
Our Founding Fathers broke from Great Britain, fought a war, and founded our country largely over the issue of improper representation. Subsequently, they drafted our Constitution to better provide this representation.
So how are we doing today?

Rep. Helen Head of South Burlington honored with a John Murphy Labor award
Each year, the John Murphy Labor Award is given to someone who best honors former Rep. Murphy's legacy: standing strong for working Vermonters, and helping to build Vermont's labor movement. This year they are honoring Rep. Helen Head, and the Vermont Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals.
